Udzungwa mountains college trust foundation, a very fast growing educational institution and the only one of its kind in Tanzania, is a registered trustees and a body incorporated under the provisions of the Trustees’ incorporation Act (CAP. 318 R.E. 2002) with the certificate of incorporation No. 3774 and the college is under the ministry of education and vocational training in providing educational services by the provisions of the Education Act 2002 (RE).
As a non – profit educational institution its mission is to educate people of all ages to become Nature lovers in selling nature without destroying it particularly, in Nature tourism in terms of job creation among young people in Tanzania, focusing on plants, birds, wildlife, ecotourism and hotel management. Nature tourism play an increasingly important role in the local economy. Tourism will benefit the entire communities. Udzungwa mountains college trust realize that Ecotourism can help change people’s attitudes and activities from predatory to conservationist, with the relation to the environment, because “It is about selling nature without destroying nature”.
Since its inception in 2008, the foundation has already supported over 80 orphans in having free education and taught more than 200 students in different professional courses offered by the college. It also organizes Domestic tourism educational trip for local people (Tanzanians) in both private and public sectors and overseas visitors through the college tour company known as Domestic Tourism safaris promotions company (DTSPCO) which is devoted to inspire Tanzanians to cultivate the culture of visiting their natural wonders (visit our website; WWW. We are in direct contact with owners of companies, hotel and lodges and other stake holders in the Tourism and Travel industry country wide and world wide at large.
