Today, many colleges and universities have entrepreneurship programs. UMCTO wants all our college students and Tanzanians at large as the nation to be entrepreneurial, to work under their own initiative, and realize that if something is not happening, then they have to make it happen. We at UMCTO need more entrepreneurs of Tanzania who can become job creators by creating companies and many jobs than becoming job seekers working for someone. Entrepreneurship thinking should be taught from the family level to schools. Not every child is an academic; not every child is destined to work for someone. Entrepreneurship could open many doors to a different kind of workforce. Entrepreneurship is not about getting one over on the customer. It is not about working alone. It is not about looking out for number one. It is not necessarily making a lot of money. It is absolutely not about letting work take over someone’s life. On the contrary, it is about turning what excites someone in life into capital, so that he/she can do more of it and move forward with it. At UMCTO, entrepreneurship is really valued to the great extent in our college education syllabus as a great way to inspire and empower college students and Tanzanians at large to think like entrepreneurs by providing them entrepreneurship programs free of charge, apart from professional courses in which they are taking at UMCTO. This is why UMCTO has decided to establish UDZUNGWA MOUNTAINS COLLEGE STUDENTS CLUB OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP (UMCSCE.CO.TZ) whereas college students can attend seminars and network with successful entrepreneurs and speakers locally and internationally who are invited by the college management across the country and globally as an inspiration to them.
